In one of the ray section there’s journaling and a date in another, the opposite page has the photo and title with some embellishments over the rays. On each white ray she added watercolor and flowers each in a different color scheme to create a rainbow around the center photos. Notice how Mandy pulled colors from the photo and used papers and embellishments that coordinated. Again, the center circle of rays is off set for even more interest. But over the cardstock ray sections thread and sequins have been strung as well. This amazing layout uses a digital die cut that has been stitched along the edge of the pattern paper rays. You could even replicate this look by hand drawing the rays with a ruler and pen if you don’t have printed paper. ![]() This is a simple but very impactful way to incorporate journaling into a layout. The photos and embellishments in the center help pull the eye right to the middle. Wow, check out all the detail on this amazing layout from Eva! She used a think strip die to cut lots of strips from pattern paper and created a burst of rays behind a wavy open cut die. I came across the page on Lidia G.’s gallery at Pickleberry Pop. This digital layout has just a few rays across the top that add interest and help pull the color scheme together.
